fss - display file system specification (FSSpec)

SYNOPSIS

fss pathname [pathname...]

DESCRIPTION

The "fss" command will display the file system specification (FSSpec) for each file or folder listed on the command line.

The FSSpec is a record that identifies a stored file or directory within the Macintosh file system.  It consists of three parts: volume reference number, parent directory ID, and name.
